Chair Person
Maureen McBain (Mo)
RSCN, RGN, Dip OHN, BA (Hons), PGCert HELT
Mo has a nursing background in children’s and adult nursing and has worked both in the UK and overseas including Saudi Arabia and Yemen as well as the NHS and the private sector. Her first experience of OH was on the Channel Tunnel project back in 1988 and since then has worked in several different OH settings but recently moved into higher education at The Robert Gordon University Aberdeen. Where she was part of research team who produced the first demographic and professional picture of nurses working in occupational health settings across Scotland.
She is also involved in the local Grampian OHN group (based in the North East of Scotland). But is now delighted to be the current Chair of the Scottish Forum as she has always had a vision as to the way forward for Scotland which includes expand our memebrship and developing a website.

Sarah Jane Allison
RGN, Dip OHN
Sarah has an adult nursing background working within the UK and specialised in OH working primarily within the NHS and is currently employed as the Senior OHN with NHS Greater Glasgow Primary Care Division.
She is an active Forum committee member and is also currently Vice Chair of the Senior OHN Managers group NHS and committed to pushing forward the boundaries of OH nursing. She has been involved in research over the years and inparticular a Delphi study in relation to the feasibility of creating advocacy and addictions services for staff.
Secretary
Jennifer M Crawford (Jenny)
RGN, Dip OHN, MIOSH, MRIPHH
Following her nurse training and post qualification specialist nurse positions at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, Jenny returned to Scotland to pursue a career in occupational health. She knew from early in her professional life that her interests lay in OH and is keen promote this speciality, not only with employers and their staff, but also as a prospective career for student nurses.
She has worked in this specialism both within the private sector and NHS for over 20 years. Her early experience was with The National Dock Labour Board and then BP Exploration in Aberdeen. In 1988 she joined the NHS and was duly appointed by Moray Health Services to set up their new Health and Safety Department. During this time she completed her OH studies and was also subsequently awarded membership of IOHS.
After many years with the NHS Jenny now works as the Occupational Health Specialist for Walkers Shortbread Ltd. where she has established and developed a comprehensive service.
Stephanie Deville
Steph started her nursing career in the 70's and immediately developed an interest in manual handling and health promotion. However it took until the 1990's to really develop, first by undertaking an NEBOSH certificate and auditing a handmade glass factory for H& S compliance. She has worked in the NHS as a manual handling advisor and trainer and then moved into occupational health. She studied at Bristol University and was employed by the loacl Trust offering an OH service both internally and externally. She moved to Scotland in 2001 and took up a post with Glasgow Caledonian University and finnished her BSc in OH Nurisng. In 2005 she worked for a large provider primarily providing remote case management and assessment whilst liasing with an onsite team but currenlty works as an OH Specialist with Chivas Brothers.
